Abstract
Social interaction is an activity carried out by individuals or groups
to connect with each other. However, at SMPN 1 Cibinong there are
several class VII students who have poor social interaction skills, so
efforts are needed to improve social interaction skills by using
group tutoring services. The aim of this research is to improve
social interaction skills through group guidance services for class VII
students at SMPN 1 Cibinong. This research uses the Experiment
One Group Pre-test and Post-test research method, this involves
measurements using a pre-test before giving treatment and a posttest
after giving treatment. The population used in this research
was 440 class VII students at SMPN 1 Cibinong, with a research
sample of 10 students, using a purposive sampling technique. The
instrument in this research used a questionnaire to collect data,
with 82 statement items, the instrument was tested for validity in
which 63 statements were declared valid. The results of the
reliability test using the Cronbach's Alpha formula showed a
calculation result of 0.928, which means reliable.Next, a
prerequisite analysis test was carried out with a normality test,
using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov formula, and the results obtained
were normally distributed data. Test the hypothesis using the -T
test. Based on the results of calculations using SPSS, t count > t
table, with a value of 12,764 > 1,833, then Ho is rejected and Ha is
accepted, these results prove that providing group guidance
services has an effect on improving students' social interaction
abilities.
