Abstract
Students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics have an important role in the learning process and student learning outcomes. Students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics have an important role in the learning process and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the research trends of students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics, finding out how to classify students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics; and finding out the opportunities for the topic of students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics which can be investigated further in the next research. Search data taken from Google Scholar media starts from 0-0 with the keyword’s motivation and interest in learning mathematics and mathematics education. Researchers analyzed 855 of 980 original articles from 1975 – 2022. The use of the software Harzing's Publish or Perish and VOSviewers to achieve the desired goal of data analysis. The result of this study provides recommendations for variables that have the potential to be studied in the future related to Motivation and Interesting in Learning Mathematics namely gender and self-regulation.
