Abstract
The objective of the research is to acquire deep understanding of the deixis in Arabic. As source of data is from Holy Quran surah al-Baqarah Juz I. and focus of this research are: kinds of deixis in arabic, which are person deixis, time deixis, space deixis, social deixis and discourse deixis.
This research was conducted from October 2013 until Mei 2014. The research method used in this study is a method of analysis with a qualitative approach to content. The approach used in analyzing the content to reveal kinds of deixis in arabic. The research instrument is the researcher herself who is equipped with table analysis.
The result showed the realization of kinds of deixis in arabic in Quran use a lot of grammatical arabic form. There are many deixis in Arabic formed by the pronoun specially in person deixis, pronoun demonstrative, and adverb time.
