Kandungan kafein dalam kopi memiliki efek diuretik yang dapat mempengaruhi pembentukan urin dan berat jenis urin. Berat jenis urin merupakan parameter yang digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan ginjal dalam mengkonsentrasikan urin serta kondisi hidrasi tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebiasaan mengkonsumsi kopi dengan gambaran berat jenis urin pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 157 mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka. yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data kebiasaan konsumsi kopi diperoleh melalui kuesioner, sedangkan pemeriksaan berat jenis urin dilakukan menggunakan metode dipstick. Analisis data dilakukan secara bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat konsumsi kopi kategori rendah hingga sedang dengan gambaran berat jenis urin dalam batas normal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi- Square diperoleh nilai p=0,102 (p>0,05), sehingga menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan mengkonsumsi kopi dengan gambaran berat jenis urin pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan mengkonsumsi kopi dengan gambaran berat jenis urin pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka.
