	bibo:abstract "Dalam  era  digital  yang  semakin  berkembang, aplikasi  pesan instan  seperti  WhatsApp  telah  menjadi  alat  penting  dalam interaksi   sosial.   Fitur   grup   memungkinkan   anggota   grup untuk  berkomunikasi  dan  berbagi  informasi  secara  kolektif. Tujuan  penelitian  ini  adalah  untuk  menganilisis  bagaimana silent   reader   memaknai   interaksi   dalam   group   WhatsApp siswa  Sekolah  Menengah  Atas  (SMA)  anggota  Rohani  Islam (ROHIS) dengan fokus pada dinamika interaksi, motivasi, dan implikasi  yang  terkait.  Pendekatan  Teori  Interaksi  Simbolik digunakan   untuk   memahami   bagaimana   makna   simbolik, pandangan  diri,  dan  komunikasi  nonverbal  berperan  dalam membentuk    perilaku    silent    reader.    Metode    penelitian kualitatif,    khususnya    wawancara    mendalam,    digunakan untuk  mengumpulkan  data  dari  enam  informan  yang  terdiri dari anggota ROHIS SMA. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan   bahwa   silent   reader   memiliki   motif   dan alasan  yang  beragam,  termasuk  keinginan  untuk  memantau informasi,   merasa   lebih   nyaman   dalam   posisi   diam,   dan menghindari   konflik.   Meskipun   mereka   tidak   aktif   secara verbal,    silent    reader    memainkan    peran    penting    dalam dinamika  grup  dengan  menjadi  pengamat  yang  membantu menjaga   stabilitas   dan   keseimbangan.   Hasil   penelitian   ini memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam tentang fenomena silent reader   dalam   grup   WhatsApp   serta   implikasinya   dalam konteks komunikasi sosial di era digital."^^xsd:string;
