This research aims to utilize Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, and Automatic Identification System (AIS) data for vessel detection in the Bintan waters. Vessel detection from Sentinel-1 imagery was performed using the Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) algorithm, a threshold-based object detection technique combined with classification algorithms to distinguish ships from the water background. Visual interpretation of Sentinel-2 imagery was applied to identify suspected transshipment activities. AIS data served as a reference for verifying the location and type of detected vessels. The results demonstrate that integrating Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, and AIS data enhances the accuracy of ship identification, particularly in detecting vessels not equipped with AIS transponders. This study identified five suspected transshipment events on September 13, 2024, and seven on November 12, 2024. These findings provide initial evidence for maritime security authorities to conduct further analysis and support effective decision-making.} }
