DM adalah penyakit kronis serius yang terjadi ketika pankreas tidak memproduksi
cukup insulin (hormon yang mengatur gula darah), atau ketika tubuh tidak mampu
menggunakan insulin secara efektif. Penyakit kronis seperti DM sangat erat
kaitannya dengan kepuasan terapi sehingga mempengaruhi kepatuhan minum obat
dan merupakan faktor penting dalam kualitas hidup pasien DM. Tujuan penelitian
ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi hubungan antara kepuasan terapi, kepatuhan
minum obat dan kualitas hidup pada pasien DM tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan
metode deskriptif observasional dengan desain cross-sectional teknik
pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner SATMED-Q (Kepuasan terapi),
MARS-5 (Kepatuhan Minum obat), EQ5D5L & EQ-VAS (Kualitas Hidup).
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada bulan Juni-Agustus 2023 terdapat 111 pasien
didapatkan rata-rata kepuasan terapi sebesar 69,70 termasuk kategori “puas”,
tingkat kepatuhan minum obat rata-rata 21,93 termasuk kategori “kepatuhan
sedang”, tingkat kualitas hidup pasien termasuk dalam kategori “kualitas hidup
tinggi” dengan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan skor (EQ-5D-5L & EQ-VAS) diperoleh
nilai sebesar 0,81 & 75,54. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya hubungan antara
kepatuhan minum obat (MARS-5) dengan kualitas hidup pasien (EQ-VAS) (p
value = 0,039) dan nilai koefisien korelasi (r = 0,197) dengan kategori lemah, dan
tidak terdapat hubungan antara kepuasan terapi dengan kepatuhan minum obat (p
value = 0,164 r = 0,133), dan kualitas hidup (EQ5D5L & EQ-VAS) (p value =
0,706 r = -0,036 dan p value = 0,081 r = 0,166). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa jika
kepatuhan minumobat pasien semakin ditingkatkan maka kualitas hidup pasien
diabetes melitus tipe 2 akan meningkat.
