However, academic writing is a difficult skill, especially if it is written in Arabic. This research is a pilot study that looks into the requirements needed to study Arabic and write academic papers in universities and colleges. The 4th-semester students were used to explore certain models learners studying Arabic need. This study used a convergent parallel mixed method and a qualitative approach to conduct surveys and interviews for data analysis. The results showed that students need a unique learning model for Arabic academic writing based on the Learning Management System. This includes writing exercises, theory, digital tools, peer review processes, and skills in searching scientific articles.
