Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas XI dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan data yaitu Purposive Sampling. Sample yang digunakan kelas XI IPA 1 sampai XI IPA 5 dengan jumlah 107 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 75,65% dengan interpretasi cukup. Aspek literasi sains yang diujikan yaitu aspek konteks sebesar 73,89% dengan interpretasi cukup, aspek pengetahuan sebesar 75,29% dengan interpretasi cukup, aspek kompetensi sebesar 75,47% dengan interpretasi cukup, dan aspek sikap sebesar 84,35% dengan interpretasi baik.
