Merr.) mengandung senyawa kimia seperti alkaloid, fenolik, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, triterpenoid dan steroid. Flavonoid dan fenol diketahui mempunyai aktivitas antioksidan yang dapat bekerja untuk mengendalikan radikal bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji aktivitas antioksidan, menetapkan kadar flavonoid total, dan fenol total dari ekstrak etanol 70% biji jayanti dari hasil ekstraksi dari ultrasonik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari ekstrak etanol 70% biji jayanti pada pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dengan metode DPPH yang di uji menggunakan alat spektrofotometer uv-vis dan di dapat nilai IC50 sebesar 412,91 µg/ml yang berarti aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak biji jayanti lemah. Pada penetapan kadar flavonoid dengan metode Kolorimetri pereaksi Alumunium klorida sebesar 197,06 mgQE/g sampel ekstrak, Pada penetapan fenolik total dengan metode Follin-Ciocalteu didapatkan hasil sebesar 625,50 mgGAE/g sampel ekstrak.
