abstract: Asma adalah penyakit saluran napas kronis yang ditandai dengan riwayat gejala
seperti mengi, sesak napas, dada sesak dan batuk yang bervariasi dari waktu ke
waktu. Menurut data Riset Kesehatan Nasional tahun 2018, asma merupakan
salah satu penyakit tidak menular dengan prevalensi tertinggi sebesar 4,5% di
Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan prevalensi terendah 1,0% di Sumatera Utara.
Obat agonis adrenoseptor β2 selektif merupakan simpatomimetik yang paling
banyak digunakan untuk pengobatan bronkokonstriksi asma dan kortikosteroid
inhalasi sebagai pengontrol atau agen anti inflamasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk
mengetahui ketepatan penggunaan obat golongan β2-agonis dan kortikosteroid
dengan kategori ketepatan obat dan ketepatan dosis pada berbagai kategori asma
di RSUP Persahabatan Jakarta Timur periode 2019. Penelitian ini bersifat
deskriptif dengan pengambilan data secara restrospektif. Teknik pengambilan
sampel dilakukan secara Random Sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 90 pasien.
Hasil evaluasi dari penelitian ini dihitung berdasarkan jumlah obat sebanyak 192
obat diperoleh ketepatan obat sebesar 84,37% dan ketepatan dosis pada semua
derajat asma sebesar 100%. Tidak tepatnya penggunaan obat asma sebesar
15,63% yang terdiri dari penggunaan kortikosteroid oral yaitu Metilprednisolon
pada asma intermitten sebanyak 1 obat (3,3%), persisten ringan 10 obat (33,4%),
persisten sedang 18 obat (60%), dan Dexametason pada persisten sedang
sebanyak 1 obat (3,3%).
