Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah beberapa peserta didik SMA Negeri Jakarta, dengan subjek sebanyak 98 peserta didik kelas 11 salah satu SMA Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan instrument non-test berupa angket Adversity Quotient yang terdiri dari 39 pernyataan dengan jawaban yang menggunakan skala likert dengan 5 pilihan jawaban dalam bentuk “sangat tidak setuju”, “tidak setuju”, “netral”, “setuju”, “sangat setuju”. Angket Adversity Quotient yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan instrument yang diadaptasi dari Wahyu Hidayat. Pembagian kategori Adversity Quotient berdasarkan tipe climbers, campers, dan quitters.
