(daun nanas kerang) memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi air daun nanas kerang terhadap bakteri Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus dan Staphylococcus epidermidis. Metode yang digunakan adalah mikrodilusi dengan variasi konsentrasi 5000, 7500, 10000, 12500 dan 15000 μg/mL untuk bakteri Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus dan konsentrasi 1250, 2500, 5000, 7500 dan 10000 μg/mL untuk bakteri Staphyloccus epidermidis. Klindamisin digunakan sebagai antibiotik pembanding dengan konsentrasi 2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10 μg/ml. Hasil data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan persamaan regresi linier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fraksi air lebih baik dibandingkan fraksi etil asetat. Potensi antibakteri dipengaruhi oleh kandungan senyawa kimia seperti, flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin dan tanin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa fraksi air daun nanas kerang memiliki potensi antibakteri lebih baik dengan nilai potensi relatif 7,49 x 10-4 kali klindamisin HCl terhadap Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus dan 2,76 x 10-4 kali klindamisin HCl terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis.
